Position Summary:
The Classroom Educational Assistant assists the classroom teacher and other building staff with performing duties necessary to meet the educational needs of every student. The Educational Assistant's primary focus is on directly serving 9-12 ALC students by reinforcing skills through reading and math groups, reinforcing social-emotional skills, and other supervision as needed. Ideal candidates will believe and ensure their role is to support and develop a high-quality learning environment focused on each and every student.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED is required. To perform this job effectively, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Other Skills & Abilities:
Candidate will have a growth mindset, focused on flexibility and growth as a professional, as well as with students. Candidate will have a strong equity lens, believing and ensuring all kids learn at high levels. Candidate will build strong, impactful professional relationships with students, staff, and other school stakeholders. Bilingual candidates are preferred.
Hours:
5.5 hours/day Monday - Friday / 8:15 am - 2:15 pm
Pay Rate:
B-2-1 $18.64 - $22.44 per hour depending on experience. Employee will accumulate Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST)/Sick Leave
