Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience as a Paraprofessional, Teacher's Aide, or within a similar educational support role Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions and implement educational plans as directed by teachers or specialists Flexibility and a proactive approach in meeting students' academic and behavioral needs Understanding of confidentiality requirements and respecting student privacy at all times Excellent communication skills when working with students, staff, and families Strong organizational skills and a patient, compassionate demeanor Ability to pass all background checks as required by the school setting
Key Responsibilities:
Work alongside teachers and specialists to support classroom management and facilitate student engagement Provide individualized or small group instruction to reinforce learning concepts and skills Assist students with daily living tasks, mobility needs, or behavioral strategies as necessary Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources under the guidance of teaching staff Supervise students during non-instructional times, including lunch, recess, or transitions Maintain accurate daily documentation on student progress and observations Support safe and inclusive learning environments, adapting strategies to meet diverse student abilities This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference while gaining valuable experience in the education sector.
