Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Seeking a dedicated professional to provide essential support within a school setting for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract opportunity offers a chance to work closely with students and educators, helping foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. You'll play a vital role in supporting classroom activities, ensuring student safety, and encouraging academic growth.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment is strongly preferred Successful completion of Crisis Prevention Training Para Pro MN certification or a minimum of 60 college credits required Ability to build supportive relationships with students and collaborate effectively with educators Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability Commitment to maintaining a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Assist certified teachers in classroom management and instructional support Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning objectives Support the academic, behavioral, and social development of students with diverse needs Collaborate in implementing individualized education and behavior management plans Respond promptly and appropriately to crisis situations, using de-escalation techniques as trained Help maintain accurate documentation and communicate student progress to the teaching team
