Required At least 36 college credit hours- will need to provide official transcripts (and have translated if applicable) OR Completion of substitute teacher training - will need to provide a COPY of HS diploma, GED or HISET is needed (and have translated if applicable) Either requirement above MUST have DESE Substitute Certification before you are able to work. 17.38/hr with 36 hours of college credit or substitute teacher training 18.38/hr with 4 year degree

POSITION SUMMARY
To improve the educational program by assisting the instructional and administrative staff. The Teaching Assistant will assist full-time teachers, reinforcing materials and lessons covered in the classroom to facilitate student learning. Under the direction of a certified teacher, performs a variety of classroom, general, and clerical duties related to assisting a student.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
(Major duties which the position exists to perform) Supports and assists the teacher with daily lesson plan setup and classroom organization Helps maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized environment Engages with students and supports routines and transitions throughout the day Follows an organized, flexible schedule and collaborates openly with the teacher Supports the teacher's classroom management and supervision plans Uses positive guidance techniques and provides choices when appropriate Communicates concerns appropriately to the classroom teacher, Preschool Coordinator, or Director of Early Learning Upholds the Parkway and Project Construct philosophy, emphasizing process over product Demonstrates a desire to grow professionally, especially in child development and constructivist practices Performs other duties as assigned
