Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, focusing on their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role is essential in fostering a love for learning and ensuring that all students receive the attention they need to thrive. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans that promote literacy education and engage children in learning activities. Support behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment. Provide individualized attention to students, including those with special needs, autism, or disabilities. Facilitate small group activities that encourage social interaction and skill development. Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, ensuring all materials are organized and accessible. Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adapt lessons as needed. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to Montessori methods and special education practices. Qualifications Experience or training in Montessori education is preferred but not required. Strong background in childcare, with knowledge of developmental milestones for young children. Familiarity with literacy education techniques and lesson planning. Experience working with children with disabilities or autism is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their growth in a daycare or educational setting.
