Job Description

POSITION TITLE

QUALIFICATIONS

60 College Credit Hours / Paraprofessional Assessment / 20HR Sub. Certificate Course

REPORTS TO

Principal and/or other Supervisor

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

A demonstrated ability to work effectively under the direction of others.

Ability to organize, be flexible and multitask

Ability to utilize technology resource

A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively

Ability to utilize mature and discreet judgment and handle confidential matters.

Willingness to assume any responsibilities, which are appropriate for the position

Assist in creating accessible educational materials for students with disabilities using a variety of formats and methods, including braille, enlarged print, tactile materials, adapted documents, and other accessible formats.

Use and develop skills with a variety of technology and accessibility tools to create, modify, and produce instructional materials, while demonstrating a willingness to learn new software, devices, and accessibility technologies as needed.

Collaborate with special education staff and other school personnel to prepare individualized materials that support students' access to instruction and align with their specific learning and accessibility needs.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Must work under the direct supervision of coordinating specialists

May assume limited duties that are assigned to similar personnel

Participate in training activities as required by the District.

Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Federal Programs, principal or supervising teacher, which are related to facilitating success.
