Job Description

Category Schools•Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students and educators across a dynamic K-12 environment. Paraprofessionals who thrive in flexible, fast-paced settings will find meaningful opportunities in special education classrooms, ranging from 1:1 support to broader classroom assistance. Current openings serve elementary, middle, and high school levels, and adaptability is valued—let us know if you have a campus preference. You'll be part of a collaborative group that regularly welcomes new professionals, ensuring fresh perspectives and consistent support for students. Assignments may start with Extended School Year (June 1-25) and extend to ongoing needs beginning in August.
Schedules vary by school building:
Middle School:
7:00 am•2:30 pm
High School:
7:30 am•3:00 pm
Elementary:
8:30 am•4:00 pm or 9:00 am•4:30 pm
Key Qualifications:
Valid Missouri Substitute Certificate (active on DESE website) Comfortable providing toileting/changing support and assisting students with behavioral needs Experience in special education settings strongly preferred Willingness to float to different school buildings as needed Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver instructional and behavioral support in SPED classrooms Assist with daily living activities for students as required Work 1:1 or as a general classroom aide, adapting as caseloads shift Foster a safe, positive classroom environment Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff
