Job Description

PROGRAM ASSISTANT
We are looking for a part-time Program Assistant for our Malden Outreach location. The Program Assistant is a general clerical position performing clerical work for the regional Outreach office. Duties include but are not limited to: Manage and route incoming telephone calls. Retrieve general voicemail, determine appropriate party and transfer messages. Receive telephone messages and deliver to appropriate personnel. Schedule and confirm appointments. Answer basic questions about the organization and the various programs as well as provide addresses, directions and other information. Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business and announce visitors to appropriate personnel. Monitor visitor access and issues visitor passes when required. Maintain meeting room reservation calendar. Maintain vehicle reservation calendar. Receives, sorts and routes mail and facsimile transmissions. Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying and collating. Constructs and maintains computer files and records and prepares reports from information entered. Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year experience in a related job. A.A. degree or certificate and/or commensurate experience in related areas highly desirable.
