Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Now hiring a compassionate and reliable professional to provide one-on-one support for a Kindergarten student with communication needs in a nurturing, inclusive school environment. If you have a passion for early childhood education and bring strong American Sign Language (ASL) skills, this contract role may be a perfect fit for your talents. In this role, you'll work closely with a team of educators to foster an environment of academic, social, and emotional growth. Your fluency in ASL will be crucial in supporting a young learner's communication needs and encouraging their success.
Key Qualifications:
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is strongly recommended Kind, patient, and dedicated to working with young children Excellent interpersonal skills; effective active listener and communicator Previous experience in early childhood education, special education, or behavioral support is a plus Missouri DESE Paraprofessional or Substitute Certificate preferred but not required Dependable transportation and punctuality required Able to sit and stand on the classroom floor to interact with students
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individualized, one-on-one support within a Kindergarten classroom Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote academic and social development Tailor instruction and reinforcement to meet student needs Utilize ASL for supporting communication Maintain a positive and engaging classroom presence
Position Details:
