Job Description
Orchard Farm School District is seeking full-time paraprofessionals to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year! Our mission is to empower each learner to excel in diverse communities. Orchard Farm School District is located in St. Charles County, MO with a current enrollment of approximately 2,600 students and growing. Over the last decade, new developments like Charlestowne and New Town, situated along Highway 370, have contributed significantly to our increase in enrollment. Orchard Farm has been named by staff as a Top Workplace since 2017. Paraprofessionals provide social, physical, and academic support and/or supervision in general and special education settings, including but not limited to the cafeteria, classrooms, recess, and assemblies. These services may include ambulatory, eating, and toileting assistance.

QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent, required 36-60 credit hours from an accredited college/university or DESE approved 20-hour substitute certification course, preferred . Missouri substitute certification, preferred; see how to obtain below. Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form Ability to follow written and oral communication Ability to use word processing and data entry systems Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally Ability to squat, bend, kneel, reach, walk, and stand frequently Ability to problem solve situations in a professional and logical manner Ability to remain calm and patient at all times Ability to motivate students for classroom achievements Information regarding how Missouri Teacher Certification or Substitute Certification may be obtained at the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education website: An individual who holds this position is required to: Assist students with disabilities according to their individualized needs, including transferring to and from wheelchairs, lifting, or positioning Assist students with physical care, including feeding, bathroom needs, and personal hygiene Assist in managing the behavior of students Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and special events when requested by administration Help supervise arrival and departure of students, and provide supervision and support in multiple settings throughout the school day Follow instructions from teachers and administrators The position is in a regular school setting that is noisy and active. Occassional outdoor activities are required, such as loading and unloading students from district transportation and supervising recess.IMPORTANT
