Job Summary We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Instructional Classroom Aide to join our Catholic school community. Working alongside the classroom teacher, the instructional aide supports the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of our youngest learners in a nurturing, faith-filled environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, demonstrates patience and flexibility, and is committed to creating a safe, engaging classroom where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.
Job Responsibilities Assist the classroom teacher with daily instruction and classroom learning activities. Support students individually, in small groups, and during whole-class instruction. Prepare classroom materials, learning centers, and instructional resources. Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions as assigned. Foster a positive, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence. Encourage the development of age-appropriate academic, social, emotional, and behavioral skills. Assist with classroom organization, cleanliness, and preparation for daily activities. Support students with age-appropriate personal care needs as required. Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters. Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff. Model Christian values and actively support the mission and philosophy of Catholic education. Perform other duties as assigned to support the instructional program and school community. Job Requirements Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed. High school diploma or equivalent required. Coursework or experience in Early Childhood Education preferred. Previous experience working with preschool or early elementary-aged children preferred. Completion of all required Safe Environment training and successful background screening prior to employment.
