A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Part-time, approximately 7 hours/day, 21 hours/week
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday , to follow 2026-2027 Student Calendar Hourly rate: $22.95 Substitute Certification Required; Missouri Teacher Certification Preferred Non-exempt Benefits not included
Summary :
Provides additional support to teachers to help with student needs in a gifted enrichment classroom. Duties may include but are not limited to: teaching mini-lessons, working with small groups or individual students, supporting student behavior, and differentiation support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned. Assists teacher in routing classroom operation i.e. tutoring etc. Prepares planned instructional materials, attendance reports and class reports. Supervises student involved in non-classroom activities; recess, lunch etc. Implements/follows teachers instructions of classroom procedures; reinforcement, philosophy and consistency. Assists with clerical duties; inventory, bulletin boards, collecting money etc. Demonstrates an understanding of students' problems & keeps a firm course yet is courteous. Performs extra duties as assigned by the administration.
