POSITION
Supported Living Instructor FTE:
Full Time, 30 hours per week (can reach 40hrs if helping out a different program)
HOURS:
Monday-Friday, daytime hours. Hours may vary based on program needs; flexibility required.
WAGE :
$20/hour (plus benefits)
JOB SUMMARY
The Supported Living Instructor (SLI) manages and coordinates supports and services for individuals on their assigned caseload. This includes ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of individuals residing in supported living settings; overseeing treatment, training, and skill development supports; and maintaining the furnishings, equipment, and overall condition of the residence. The SLI is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Reach, Inc. policies and procedures, as well as applicable contractual and licensing requirements, including accreditation standards, the Montana Developmental Disabilities Program (DDP), the local Sanitation Department, the State Fire Marshal, and the Department of Public Health and Human Services. Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The SLI provides supervision to part-time Relief staff supporting individuals in Supported Living services. Supervisory responsibilities are carried out in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws and may include participating in the hiring of residential staff, providing orientation and job-specific training, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing corrective or disciplinary action when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Applicants in positions that require driving must meet the minimum age requirement for insurance coverage and vehicle operation (currently 21); a minimum age of 18 is required for all other positions. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, as is experience working with people with disabilities or a demonstrated interest in the field. Applicants must also be able to pass a criminal background check, and those in driving positions must meet insurability requirements and pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) screening.
