State Salary Scale General Statement of Job Under limited supervision, performs highly responsible leadership work to carry out the school system mission and goals for Teacher Recruitment and Support within the guidelines established by Stanly County Schools. Develops and leads recruitment initiatives to attract and ensure high-quality certified applicants for Stanly County Schools. Essential Job Functions Investigates, analyzes and formulates methods for handling special projects; oversees projects to completion and evaluates interim and final results; prepares and reviews various reports and performs special projects; serves as a liaison with outside agencies on special work programs and special projects; advises and directs staff on a variety of non-routine matters. Assists individuals and groups in identifying external and internal resources for professional development, including instructor-led training and self-study materials. Coordinates initial implementation of various innovations within the system as designed by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. Monitoring of evaluation completion. Plans, develops, and coordinates professional development sessions and activities for Teacher Evaluations and School Executive Evaluation. Remains current in state and federal program guidelines, procedures, rules and laws. Participates in appropriate conferences and professional development opportunities for improved job performance. Improves leadership skills through self-initiated professional activities, such as participate with and or work on committees associated with professional organizations, or to meet statewide needs. Maintains active involvement in local, state and national professional organizations. Monitors the teacher evaluation system for Beginning Teacher Support compliance. Consults and works with principals and supervisors to ensure state and local requirements are met. Maintains records for all aspects of Beginning Teacher support to comply with federal and state Title II requirements. Manages the recruitment efforts to attract viable certified candidates to the school district. Participates in trips for the recruitment of certified applicants. Manages the details of student teacher placement, oversight of the database and orientation. Serves as the liaison for university pre-service programs. Coordinates and implements (teacher and district) events for the department. Maintains various documents and records. Leads professional development. Coordinates and facilitates recognitions. Additional assignments as assigned by supervisor Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Considerable knowledge of internal and external resources for staff development. Considerable knowledge of current literature, trends and developments in the field of organizational development. Considerable knowledge of the principles of supervision, organization and administration. Considerable knowledge in recruitment and sourcing candidates Skills in supervising and coordinating large programs. Ability to assess system-wide staff development needs. Ability to set high level goals and develop long range plans. Ability to develop, implement and evaluate training programs. Ability to develop, implement and evaluate curriculum and instruction. Ability to maintain complete and accurate records and to develop meaningful reports from them. Ability to use common office machines and popular computer-driven word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs. Ability to facilitate and manage a budget. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitates by work assignments. Minimum Training and Experience Bachelor's degree in education. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of five years classroom teaching experience. Must hold or be able to obtain a current North Carolina Teacher License. Leadership and/or Administrative Experience Preferred. The work regularly requires standing and walking around the classroom and school. It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. The work often requires bending, squatting, reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light weights and rarely, the lifting of weights above 30 pounds. The work occasionally handles/works with biohazards and/or risks for potential job-related injury, such as those found in a laboratory or shop environment. The work requires activities occasionally involving driving automotive equipment.Data Conception:

Requires the ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, to give oral and written instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently in a variety of technical or professional languages including educational and legal terminology.Numerical Aptitude:
Requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas; to add and subtract; multiply and divide; utilize decimals and percentages; and to apply the principles of descriptive statistics, statistical inference and statistical theory.Form/Spatial Aptitude:
Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width and shape.Motor Coordination:
Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes rapidly and accurately in using office equipment.Manual Dexterity:
Requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as office equipment and hand tools. Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.Interpersonal Temperament:
Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with emergency situations.Physical Communication:
Requires the ability to talk and hear: (Talking:
