Key Qualifications:

Experience as a paraprofessional, especially within school settings Understanding of the unique dynamics of self-contained classrooms Ability to provide academic and behavioral support to students with diverse needs Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment Effective communication and collaboration with certified teachers and support staff A high school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant training or certification preferred

Responsibilities:

Assist the lead teacher with day-to-day instructional activities and classroom management Provide individualized support and encouragement to students to help them meet their goals Assist with implementing behavior plans and support positive social development Prepare materials and help maintain an organized, safe classroom environment Support students during classroom instruction, activities, lunch, and transitions Document student progress and report observations to teaching staff as needed
