Your dedication to supporting the lead teacher and fostering positive relationships with both children and parents contributes significantly to the success of our childcare program. Assistant Teacher/Floater II Responsibilities Support teacher in implementing a weekly activity plan. Collaborate with teachers to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Aid in maintaining communication with parents. Complete required in-service and yearly training. Stay current on NC Daycare regulations. Inform teachers and director of classroom issues. Help keep classrooms organized and arranged. Help maintain center cleanliness inside and outside of the facility. Cooperate with staff to uphold professionalism. Assist in visual supervision of children. Aid in maintaining records. Assist with filling in for other staff roles and miscellaneous duties. Minimum Qualifications Minimum age of 18 years. Completion of Early Childhood Credentials 1&2. Completion of BSAC (Basic School Age Care) and SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) training. At least three months of experience working with young children. Eligibility to work with children in the state of North Carolina based on a criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in early childhood education or a related field. Certification or training in early childhood education. Strong communication skills for interacting with teachers, parents, and staff. Knowledge of NC Daycare regulations and compliance requirements. Experience in maintaining records and documentation. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Commitment to ongoing professional development and training. Familiarity with child development principles and best practices. Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a childcare setting. Positive attitude and passion for working with children and families.
