Part-Time Support Teacher Sharon Academy Preschool - Sharon Road Campus Monday-Friday | 2:30 PM-6:00 PM $16.00-$17.00 per hour We hope you will consider joining our Sharon Academy Preschool Teaching Team! Sharon Academy's Sharon Road Campus provides full-time early childhood education and care for children ages 8 weeks through Pre-Kindergarten . We are looking for a passionate, dependable, and dedicated Part-Time Support Teacher who is excited to work alongside our teaching team to provide high-quality early childhood education in a safe, nurturing, and engaging Christian environment. As a Support Teacher, you will assist classrooms throughout the afternoon, helping teachers maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing environment while building meaningful relationships with children and supporting their daily routines and needs.
Responsibilities Include:
Build positive and nurturing relationships with children, families, and faculty Support Lead and Assistant Teachers with daily classroom routines and activities Assist with afternoon transitions, meals, diapering/toileting, and other classroom needs Provide attentive supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all children Establish and maintain positive classroom management through relationships and positive discipline Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment Support teachers with classroom preparation, cleaning, and closing responsibilities Communicate professionally and respectfully with families and faculty Follow all NC state licensing requirements and Sharon Academy policies and procedures Work collaboratively with teachers and administration to meet the needs of each classroomQualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Previous experience working with children preferred Early childhood education experience preferred EDU 119 course completed or willingness to enroll preferred Dependable, punctual, flexible, and willing to work as part of a team Passion for working with young children and supporting their development Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environmentRequired Documentation:
A current criminal background check through the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) is required, along with: Negative TB test Current medical reportPosition Details:
