In this role, you will work alongside certified teachers to assist with classroom activities, support student learning, and help manage daily routines. Duties Assist classroom teachers with lesson implementation, including preparing materials and setting up activities aligned with curriculum standards. Support students' individual learning needs by providing targeted assistance in literacy, math, and other core subjects. Help manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, fostering a safe and respectful environment. Supervise children during transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities to ensure safety and engagement. Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and working with specialists when necessary. Aid in early childhood education practices such as toddler care, preschool activities, Montessori methods, or childcare routines. Collaborate with teachers to develop or adapt lesson plans for diverse learners, including those with autism or other developmental challenges. Maintain open communication with teachers and parents regarding student progress and behavioral observations. Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques. Experience working with children in classroom settings, daycare centers, or private schools is highly desirable. Knowledge of curriculum development across subjects such as literacy education, math, and behavior management strategies. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs using inclusive teaching practices. Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Classroom management skills to maintain an organized, respectful environment conducive to learning. Familiarity with teaching methodologies such as Montessori or preschool education approaches is a plus. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.
