Job Description

Assistant Preschool Teacher Whittmore Learning Academy is hiring a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team! We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young children and is passionate about helping them learn and grow in a safe, nurturing environment. Pay:
Starting at $13.00 per hour , with the opportunity for higher pay based on education and experience
Qualifications Required:
Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent Current background check, work physical, and TB test results on or before your first day of employment
Preferred:
North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (EDU-119) One year of experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool CPR and First Aid certification
ITS-SIDS
certification ITERS and ECERS certification Responsibilities As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will: Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines Help create a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment Support age-appropriate learning activities and experiences Assist with observing and documenting children's progress and development Build positive relationships with children and families Communicate effectively with parents, children, and staff Support appropriate classroom management and behavior expectations Help keep the classroom clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities Work collaboratively with the lead teacher and teaching team to provide high-quality early childhood education Benefits Competitive pay based on education and experience Paid Time Off (PTO) Holiday pay Inclement weather pay Employee childcare discount Professional development assistance Supportive, team-focused work environment Why Join Whittmore Learning Academy?
