Assistant Teacher Love and Learning Child Care Center - Fletcher, North Carolina Full-Time Positions Available For over fourty years, Love and Learning Child Care Center has been a vibrant, nurturing early education center committed to helping children grow through love, structure, outdoor creative play and hands-on learning. We are currently seeking a compassionate, dependable Assistant Teacher to join our team and support our mission of providing high-quality care in a safe and inspiring environment. Position Overview As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work closely with lead teachers to create a fun, engaging, and educational space for children. Your role is essential in supporting daily routines, maintaining safety, and contributing to each child's social and emotional development. Qualifications - Required by the

State of North Carolina:

Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED required EDU-119 North Carolina course work completed required Enroll in the NC Early Childhood Credential (NCECC) courses within 6 - 12 months of hire Must be able to read and write in English Training & Certifications (can be completed after hire): Completion of 20-30 hours of early childhood training CPR & First Aid Certification

ITS-SIDS

Training Recognizing and Reporting Child Maltreatment Experience (preferred but not required): 400 hours working with school-age children in a licensed program OR 600 hours in an unlicensed camp/youth program OR early childhood coursework (2+ semester credits)

Additional Requirements:

Pass a criminal background check and fingerprint screening Provide a TB test and proof of physical health Complete orientation training within the first 2-6 weeks of employment Participate in ongoing professional development (10+ hours/year) Why Join Love and Learning?
