Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster children's social, emotional, and cognitive development, ensuring they thrive during their formative years. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math skills, creativity, and social development. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior. Support classroom management by encouraging respectful behavior and implementing behavior management strategies aligned with educational policies. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that complies with educational regulations and safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, daily activities, and any concerns or updates. Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences for children. Collaborate with teaching staff to develop individualized support plans for children with special needs or disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or early childhood education setting is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom behavior management, and educational compliance standards such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable. Familiarity with special education practices, Montessori methods, or other early childhood curricula is a plus. Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment for all learners. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is advantageous. Pay:
$13.50 - $16.00 per hour
