Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and positive behavior. Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene, following health and safety guidelines. Implement behavioral management strategies to encourage positive interactions and social skills among children. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that complies with health regulations and promotes learning. Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of abuse or neglect and reporting concerns appropriately. Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar early childhood settings. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification or training in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or child safety procedures. Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques. Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively. Familiarity with special education needs and experience supporting children with disabilities is a plus. Child supervision skills combined with a nurturing approach to foster a supportive learning environment.
