Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description
(Paraprofessional) A Paraprofessional will maintain a therapeutic environment while supervising youths in a residential setting. As a Habilitation Technician, the duties and responsibilities will also include, but not be limited to the following: Providing structure and consistency as treatment programs are followed Complete daily progress notes on each client Provide transportation for clients to appointments Administer and record medication Ensure that facility chores are completed Issue consequences as outlined in the program's guidelines Prepare meals for clients required during your shift Conduct scheduled and unscheduled fire drills and document outcomes Conduct a weekly monitoring of the water temperature Adhere to staff chores - i.e. client laundry, keeping staff bathroom clean, etc. And any other duties as assigned by the Director and/or Supervisor
