Elementary Montessori Guide Assistant

Company Overview Creation Acres is an empowering, Christian-based, Montessori microschool located in downtown Mint Hill. We serve ages 3-15, offering a unique blend of core subjects and extracurricular classes that foster student leadership and creativity. Our student-led approach allows youth to take charge of their educational journey, crafting a personalized learning experience. Summary We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Elementary Guide Assistant to support our Montessori lead educators in creating a dynamic and nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student-centered learning, support Creation Acres' Christian values, and bring a calm, patient presence to our 6-12-year-old elementary learners. Responsibilities Assist the lead Montessori guide in daily classroom activities and lesson facilitation. Support the implementation of individualized Montessori work plans and hands-on learning activities. Help maintain a peaceful, organized, and respectful classroom environment in alignment with Montessori principles. Guide students in developing independence, responsibility, and social-emotional skills. Observe student progress and provide input to the lead teacher for individual learning goals. Support classroom setup, transitions, and materials management. Foster a warm and welcoming environment grounded in Christian values. Participate in team planning sessions and professional development opportunities. Communicate positively and professionally with students, parents, and staff. Schedule 30-40 hours per week M-Th 8am - 3:30pm Possibility of adding Fridays Qualifications Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting Familiarity with Montessori methods or willingness to learn and be mentored in Montessori philosophy Passionate about supporting holistic child development—academically, emotionally, and spiritually Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Patient, flexible, and able to follow directions while working independently when needed Alignment with the mission and Christian values of Creation Acres A high school diploma is required; Montessori training or experience is a plus.
