We are seeking a dedicated and passionate After-school Teacher assistant to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves ensuring that students complete homework, managing classroom behavior, and promoting each child's overall development. A background in childhood development and childcare is highly desirable but not necessary. If you have a lot of energy and love working with kids, we want you to apply! You must be great at :
  • navigating challenging behaviors
  • keeping noise in check
  • allowing free play and free expression
  • arriving ON-TIME every day
  • being an excellent role model Responsibilities Arrive at school on time at 2:30 pm.
Allow students time to complete their homework and help them by offering your guidance. Offer a unique free play experience when indoors and keep the noise level down Allow plenty of outside play and be able to communicate and enforce parameters for safety Offer a unique learning experience to teach students about their nervous system and how to recognize and navigate big emotions Ensure all used spaces are clean and ready for the next day. Qualifications Experience working with children in educational settings or sports coaching. Strong understanding of childhood development principles. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and compassionately. Experience in camp settings is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A passion for educating young minds and fostering their growth.
