Position Summary:

We are seeking a Paraprofessional (P.P.) to provide direct care and support to residents in a therapeutic group home environment. This role involves assisting with personal care, housekeeping, and medication administration, as well as promoting skill-building and emotional regulation through structured daily routines and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. Administer medications as prescribed by physicians. Support and implement each resident's Individualized Treatment Plan (PCP). Collaborate with treatment teams to track progress and address behavioral concerns. Use trauma-informed care techniques to assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation. Engage residents in therapeutic, recreational, and educational activities. Promote the development of communication, coping, and independent living skills. Maintain clear documentation and complete all required reports. Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities. Intervene appropriately during emotional or behavioral disturbances.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be 18 years of age or older. CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain). CPI certification & Bloodborne Pathogen training preferred. Medication administration training is a plus. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations. Must pass a background check. Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:
