Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic development. This role is essential in fostering a love for learning and ensuring that each child reaches their full potential. Responsibilities Hours 8:00-4:30 Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of children. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment conducive to learning. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students. Provide care and supervision for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Collaborate with lead teachers to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities. Foster an inclusive atmosphere that accommodates children with special education needs. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, particularly in Montessori methods and childhood development. Requirements Previous experience in a preschool or private school setting is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is essential. Familiarity with Montessori philosophy or similar educational approaches is a plus. Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management are highly desirable. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for working with young children and contributing positively to their growth.
