Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will support classroom activities and foster a nurturing environment that promotes childhood development. The Assistant Preschool Teacher will work closely with lead teacher to implement lesson plans and manage classroom behaviors, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for all students. Duties Support classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and effective learning experiences. Engage children in educational activities that encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes learning. Support teachers in assessing student progress and documenting developmental milestones. Assist with daily routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions between activities. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and behavior in a professional manner. Qualifications Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Experience working with students of various ages including toddlers and preschoolers. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment dedicated to fostering inclusive learning experiences for all children. Certification in childcare or early childhood education is desirable but not mandatory; relevant experience can substitute.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
