ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Types, draws, writes, and duplicates instructional material; makes educational games and aids
Listens to students read, and reads to students
Helps students with make-up work
Assists in individual or group activities, games, flash cards, computers, etc.
Assists students in interpreting and following the directions of the teacher
Drills - to reinforce any skill the teacher has taught
Alerts the teacher to the needs of students
Assists the teacher in checking the progress of individualized study projects
Supervises lunchroom, playground, halls, classrooms, and other assigned activities
Prepares bulletin boards, charts, and graphs
Assists with the physical and health needs of the children, such as feeding and toileting
Does miscellaneous typing and filing
Inventories books, materials, and equipment
Assists when emergencies arise
Performs other delegated non-instructional responsibilities assigned by the teacher or administrator
