Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a contract role supporting middle school students and make a difference every day. This opportunity offers immediate start and stability through June 11, 2027, with a commitment to 35 hours per week. You'll play a key role working with two specific students: a 5th grader requiring toileting support and a 7th grader needing behavioral assistance.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a classroom or special education paraprofessional Familiarity with supporting students in middle school settings Comfort and professionalism in assisting with toileting and personal care needs Ability to implement behavioral strategies under teacher or specialist guidance Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers and staff Patience, flexibility, and compassion in daily student interactions Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to IEPs and school policies
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to assigned students throughout the school day Assist with personal care routines, including toileting for a 5th grade student Help manage and redirect behaviors for a 7th grade student with behavioral support needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and school staff Document student progress and report observations as needed Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment Attend relevant meetings and professional development sessions, as assigned This contract role offers the chance to work in a rewarding school environment, develop your skills, and build positive relationships with students and staff.
