$1000.00 potential sign-on bonus
• We offer approximately 6 weeks off per year including holidays, planned vacation closures, and personal time! $18-22 per hour based on level of experience and education. The Assistant Director/Lead Teacher position will be posted until filled. Are you looking for a leadership role in a small-medium, quality Licensed Childcare program? Do you want to work as an Assistant Director/Lead Teacher at a unique program? We specialize in the early learning, social, and developmental needs of toddlers, 12 months up to approximately 3.5 years old. Our license was recently extended to include infants, but we are not expanding into that age group at this time. Do you have a passion and love for working with this specific age group? The Tot Spot has an opening for an enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Assistant Director/Lead Teacher. The ideal candidate has a positive mindset and is team oriented. Looking for a person who is creative, nurturing, patient, and gentle with children in the classroom, but is also motivated to be leader and grow within the program. This position is a hybrid of Lead Teacher, with specific dedicated responsibilities of an Assistant Director. The primary role will be acting as a Lead Teacher in one of our toddler pods. Other tasks of the Assistant Director role may include, but are not limited to overseeing staff professional development, Emergency Operations Plan drills and documentation, supporting staff and the Program Director in developing and implementing The Tot Spot curriculum, and managing the program when the Director is absent. Stand in duties when the Director is absent may include, but are not limited to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center, immediate supervision of staff and enrolled children, ensuring NH Child Care Licensing Rules are followed, giving tours, emailing and filing paperwork, as outlined by the NH Child Care Licensing Unit, and as assigned by the owner. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills within the Center and to be groomed for future Administrative opportunities at The Tot Spot and/or one of our affiliated Montessori Schools (under another Owner). Strong oral and written skills are a must for the administrative portion of the position. The applicant should be confident, articulate, a self starter, and be able to work under the directive of the Director and Owner. All candidates must have a minimum of an Associates degree in Early Childhood or a degree in Elementary Education, or related field from an accredited college, an active CDA, or Montessori Certification through
MACTE. A
bachelors degree or higher is preferred, but not required. The Lead Teacher/Assistant Director candidate must have experience working in Early Childhood Education/pre-K in a Center based program. Additional experience will include working in a supervisory role (2 years minimum), strong management and people skills. A criminal record and fingerprint check, infant and child CPR/First Aid are required for this position, as well as maintaining annual professional development and health and life safety hours. Full-time, year-round position, 40 hours per week. Since we are a small program, health insurance is not offered at this time, but alternative options such as tele-health and tele- mental health can be discussed. •Sign on bonus will be assessed after a 90-day probationary period. $1000 bonus to be paid out in $250 increments for every 3 months worked over a year period.
•We are a Montessori inspired program, but if you aren't familiar with that educational philosophy, don't worry, we will help mentor you. No Montessori Experience is required.
