Job Description

Special Education paraprofessionals assist students in the classroom to allow students to be successful learners in all aspects of the day. Paras may work with students 1:1, in small groups, or assisting the classroom teacher. Paras assist with academic, behavior and health matters. The pay range is under the Dover Paraeducators' Association CBA. The starting pay with no experience is $16.73 (Grade 2, Step 1). The steps are for years of experience. Holding a Para II certification would start at $19.97 (Grade 3, Step 1) with the steps allowing for years of experience.
