Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students. Assist students with academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs. Support teachers with classroom activities and daily routines. Help students stay engaged, focused, and successful throughout the school day. Support students with special education needs and individualized education plan (IEP) goals under the direction of teachers and appropriate school professionals. Encourage positive behaviors, independence, and confidence. Assist with transitions, classroom participation, and student activities. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and school personnel. Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment. Build positive relationships with students and encourage their growth. What We're Looking For Previous school-based experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with children in a school, childcare, behavioral, or related setting preferred. Experience supporting students with special education or behavioral needs is a plus. Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills. A caring, positive attitude and genuine interest in helping students succeed. Reliable attendance and a professional approach.
