Our team understands the unique needs of educational institutions and is dedicated to matching the right candidates with the right positions. By working closely with schools, we aim to contribute to the success and well-being of both educators and students. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Para Educator to join our Education team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and possess a passion for special education. This position is a Monday
- Friday position with children in a classroom setting in the Francestown Elementary School .
Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Support students in various educational settings, including classrooms and one-on-one sessions
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure student success
- Collaborate with teachers in curriculum development and lesson planning
- Provide support in early childhood education programs
- Assist students in math and other subject areas as needed
- Work in private school settings to enhance the learning experience for students
Skills:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of special education practices and principles
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Familiarity with Montessori or similar educational approaches
- Ability to educate and support students in various subject areas
- Proficiency in curriculum development and lesson implementation
- 2 years experience of working as a paraprofessional and/or special education students in a classroom setting
