Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Embark on a meaningful contract role supporting middle school students in a vibrant educational setting near Merrimack, NH. This position plays a key role in fostering student growth and learning, working one-on-one with both a 5th grade student requiring toileting assistance and a 7th grade student needing behavior support. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 11, 2027, offering a consistent 35-hour workweek.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, especially within school environments Strong understanding of middle school developmental needs Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting student success Experience with toileting care and/or behavior support is preferred Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and team members Adaptable and responsive to the unique needs of students from diverse backgrounds Possession of required certifications and clearances for school-based work
Responsibilities Include:
Providing one-on-one assistance to a 5th grade student with toileting needs Offering behavioral guidance and support for a 7th grade student Collaborating with special education and classroom teachers to implement individualized strategies Monitoring student safety and engagement throughout the school day Maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and regular documentation as needed Assisting with classroom activities and reinforcing positive behaviors Adapting to changes in caseload or instructional needs as directed This is an excellent opportunity for education professionals seeking stable contract work with a dynamic caseload in a supportive school community.
