Samuel Morey Elementary School seeks a caring and knowledgeable PreK Special Education Paraeducator to support instruction in basic pre-academic skills in reading, writing, and math, as well as support in age-appropriate social, emotional, and behavioral skill development. This position serves disabled students ages 3-5 years. Part-time position 5 days/week (Monday-Friday) following the school calendar, 8:00-11:30 AM. The PreK Special Education Paraeducator must have a high level of patience, empathy, and positivity for working with students with any type of disability. The paraeducator must work collaboratively with staff and administration on behalf of students. The PreK Special Education paraeducator must work effectively as a member of a team, and demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. Organizational skills are essential.
