To Be Determined Job Description Do you love helping young people during the crucial years of Middle School? We are looking for a Middle School Paraprofessional who will assist teachers in providing a supportive and effective learning environment for all students. This role involves working closely with students, teachers, and other school staff to ensure that students' academic, social, and emotional needs are met. Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in the classroom by providing support to individual students or small groups.
  • Help implement lesson plans and educational activities under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Supervise students during non-instructional times such as lunch, recess, and field trips.
  • Support students with special needs by adapting materials and providing additional assistance as required.
  • Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to assess student progress and implement interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff to support student learning and development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by school administration. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience working with middle school students is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development and instructional strategies for middle school students.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young people.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Basic proficiency in computer skills and educational technology.
Hours:
Typical hours are 8:00-3:00 on school days, with some additional time required for meetings and professional development. Compensation Salary and benefits for this position are competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
