Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional, particularly in school environments, is strongly preferred. Enthusiasm for working with elementary-aged children in a structured, inclusive classroom. Experience supporting students with autism or special needs is a plus. Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Reliability and consistency in following instructional plans and supporting teachers.Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support for students in intensive autism programs under the supervision of certified teachers. Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and help facilitate academic and social development. Support classroom routines and reinforce positive behavior strategies. Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment. Communicate effectively with teachers, specialists, and other staff to ensure students' needs are being met. This full-time contract role offers 32.5-35 hours per week, ideal for candidates seeking a consistent schedule throughout the school year.
