We are a small, independent Montessori micro school seeking a full-time Classroom Assistant to join our team. This role focuses on supporting our lead teachers and helping create a calm, well-prepared, and nurturing environment for children ages 3-6. Responsibilities include assisting with daily classroom activities, maintaining organized materials and spaces, overseeing lunchtime and nap time routines, supporting our aftercare program, and contributing to the many day-to-day tasks that keep the school running smoothly. This position also includes arriving early to thoughtfully prepare the classroom for the day, as well as completing end-of-day responsibilities to ensure the space is reset and ready for the following morning. This is an entry-level position and not a lead teaching role. While some tasks may be behind the scenes, they are meaningful, appreciated, and essential to the rhythm and success of the classroom. • Truly enjoys being around young children and brings patience, care, and mindfulness to their interactions
• Is comfortable in a busy, fast-moving environment and can remain steady, attentive, and responsive throughout the day
• Is dependable, responsible, and takes pride in doing even the small things well
• Can take initiative while also being open to guidance and collaboration
• Feels comfortable asking for help or clarification when needed
• Works well as part of a team and respects the structure of the classroom
