Summary Cedar Hill Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructional Aide to support teachers and enhance the educational experience of our students. This part-time position requires a commitment of 5.5 hours per day, providing assistance in classroom activities, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students achieve their academic goals. The ideal candidate will be a team player, passionate about education, and capable of working effectively with students of varying abilities. Responsibilities Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities. Provide direct support to students during lessons, ensuring understanding and engagement. Monitor and supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, and recess. Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Support students with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed. Assist in assessing student progress and reporting observations to the teacher. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required. Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive learning environment. Requirements NJ Substitute Certification or NJ Teaching certification required. Previous experience working with children in an educational setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning. Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology. Must pass background checks and comply with school district policies. Availability to work 5.5 hours per day, with flexibility to accommodate school events and activities.
