Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with lesson implementation, and foster a positive learning environment for children of various ages and developmental stages. Responsibilities Collaborate with lead teachers to plan and execute engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs Support children with diverse learning needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism, using specialized techniques such as American Sign Language and behavior management strategies Assist in creating a nurturing classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development, literacy, math skills, and overall childhood growth Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) by adapting activities and providing targeted support for students with disabilities Manage classroom routines, including transitions, behavior management, and maintaining a safe space for all children Support early childhood development through age-appropriate activities such as toddler care, preschool exercises, Montessori methods, and literacy education Contribute to lesson planning and curriculum development to ensure a stimulating educational experience that fosters curiosity and learning Requirements Prior experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings, preferably within preschool or early childhood education environments Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and special education strategies Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental delays Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable; excellent communication skills are essential Experience developing and implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy education, math, and social skills Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing classroom activities and behavior management plans A passion for teaching, patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward supporting diverse learners Join us in creating an inspiring educational environment where every child can thrive! Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
