PM Position:
Part-Time NVSA is looking for a patient, energetic, and dependable Special Needs Class Assistant to help support our Two Happy program for adults with a variety of disabilities. As an assistant, you will work alongside our staff to help participants engage in activities, follow daily routines, and have a positive, safe, and enjoyable experience at Two Happy. This is a hands-on role that is ideal for someone who enjoys working with individuals with different abilities and creating an encouraging and inclusive environment. Responsibilities Assist instructors with daily classes, activities, and programs Provide individual support to participants as needed Encourage participation and positive social interaction Help participants follow instructions and transition between activities Assist with setting up and cleaning up activities and equipment Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment Communicate with instructors and staff regarding participant needs Provide patient, respectful, and positive support throughout the day Qualifications Patient, compassionate, dependable, and energetic Comfortable working with adults with a range of disabilities and support needs Able to communicate clearly and work well as part of a team Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred, but not required Must be comfortable being active and assisting with recreational activities
