Job Description

The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning (WDLL) Department of Middlesex College invites applications for a part-time, non-credit Kitchen Assistant to support the following culinary instruction program:
Kitchen Assistant Important:
Please note that a non-credit Kitchen Assistant is not an adjunct position. Successful candidates teach courses in the WDLL Department.
Principal Responsibilities :
Preps all ingredients as per the recipes. This may include, cleaning all produce, knife skills, weighing, portioning, precook, and cleaning. Secures equipment for instructor and participants. Sets tables for guest as needed. Sets up and greets guest. Cleans and stores equipment. Secures the kitchen at the end of class.
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent Three years of experience as a chef ServSafe® certification Excellent knife skills Knowledge of kitchen equipment
Organizational Skills Great Interpersonal Skills Supplemental Information :
Please include day, evening, and/or Saturday availability in your application. WDLL is current seeking Kitchen Assistant to assist in-person either during the day or the evening at the Edison campus.
