Job Description

New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is one of the largest not-for-profit agencies of its kind in the nation. It provides services to infants, children, and adults with developmental and related disabilities. NJID offers specialized facilities, programs, and support throughout New Jersey. Join our dedicated staff of more than 500 and make a difference in someone's life! We are currently recruiting for a Teacher Assistant position at Lakeview School. The position will involve working with students with developmental and related disabilities aged 3-21. Job Responsibilities of a Teacher Assistant include: Assuming responsibility for the classroom in the teacher's absence and carrying out daily class instructions as planned. Assist the classroom teacher in implementing each student's specific daily education and therapy programs.
Job Requirements:
NJ DOE Substitute Teacher Certification is required High School diploma with a minimum of sixty (60) college credits from an approved, accredited college.
