Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Part Time Assistant Teacher/Floater! In this dynamic role, you will support classroom activities, assist lead teachers, and ensure a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. Responsibilities Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to children's developmental stages Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement Assist with classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment Provide attentive child supervision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and fostering positive behavior management Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences Support special education needs by implementing individualized strategies under the guidance of certified specialists Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic first aid as needed, including pediatric first aid procedures Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or babysitting/nannying roles is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within a childcare setting Ability to follow mandated reporting laws and safety procedures diligently This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to support young learners' growth while developing their own professional skills in early childhood education.
