Part Time Assistant Teacher The Learning Center - 3.6 Township of Lawrence, NJ Job Details Part-time $16.50 - $17.50 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Professional development assistance Qualifications Personal service experience with children Daycare experience Classroom Teaching Full Job Description Part-Time Infant/Toddler Teaching Assistant We are currently looking for a part-time Teaching Assistant to join our Infant/Toddler classrooms. The position is Monday through Friday, from 3:00-5:30 PM , with the possibility of additional daytime hours as a substitute to cover teacher vacations, sick days, and other absences. Our classrooms serve children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 months .
Qualifications:
Preferably 1-2 years of childcare experience working with infants and/or toddlers, or Currently enrolled in education courses toward an Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education degree Must have reliable transportation Must be dependable, punctual, nurturing, and dedicated to working with young children Responsibilities include: Assisting the head teacher with implementing daily lesson plans Helping teach and engage children in planned activities Assisting with art projects and other hands-on activities Helping with feedings, diapering, and other daily routines Providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for the children We are looking for someone who is fun, creative, energetic, patient, and genuinely loves working with infants and toddlers . This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on and wants to help young children learn, grow, and thrive. Ideally, we would like the successful candidate to begin in September 2026.
Pay:
$16.50 - $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 15.0 per week
