Our school has been in operation for 50 years and has a history of providing a fun and nurturing environment for early learners. We are looking for a warm and loving care giver to assist in one of our toddler rooms. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with very young children. Flexible hours. Immediate start is available. Responsibilities Assist head teacher Care for and supervise children ranging in ages from 6 months-5 years old May require diaper changing Play and interact with children during activities such as free play, structured play, recess, arts & crafts, etc. Support and nurture children's emotional and social development Monitor rest/nap periods Participate in team meetings and trainings Perform other duties as requested Adhere to school policies and the State of NJ child care center laws Desired/Required Skills and Qualifications Must submit to background check (required) Experience working with infants, toddlers and early learners (preferred) Responsible, caring and compassionate Engaging and warm with children Capable of communicating with parents and staff Able to take direction well Receptive to feedback and constructive criticism Reliable and on time Benefits Paid professional development
