Qualifications:

Minimum:

60 College Credits or Pass Parapro Assessment (score 456 or higher)

Preferred:

New Jersey certification as school substitute teacher

Preferred:

Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI) certification

Preferred:

Experience working with children with special needs

Preferred:

Experience working with "At Risk" and Emotionally Disturbed students Must pass CHRU background check Must have recent Tuberculous screening

Responsibilities:

Provide support to students with special needs, including individualized attention and assistance. Monitor and supervise students during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Skills:

Experience working in a school setting Familiarity with special education practices and strategies. Ability to provide literacy education support to young learners in English.
