Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meal times, and nap periods to ensure safety and well-being at all times. Support children's social-emotional development by encouraging positive behavior management and effective communication. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety standards in accordance with childcare regulations. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships. Follow mandated reporting laws and ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures. Support classroom management strategies that promote inclusive learning experiences tailored to individual needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure readiness for emergency situations. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Ability to effectively supervise children while maintaining patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism. Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration. Understanding of childhood development milestones, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment that supports the physical and emotional growth of young children.
