Rainbow Child Care Center & Preschool in Roseland, NJ is looking for a warm, nurturing Infant Caregiver/Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated team! Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, loving daily care for infants including feeding, diapering, and soothing Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate developmental activities and lesson plans Monitor and document infant milestones, behaviors, and daily routines Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment Communicate openly and professionally with parents and guardians during drop-off and pick-up Follow all childcare health, safety, and licensing regulations and protocols Foster social-emotional development through responsive, relationship-based caregiving
Requirements:
Prior experience in infant care, early childhood education, or a childcare setting preferred Knowledge of infant developmental milestones and best practices in early childhood CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to meet NJ childcare licensing requirements including background checks Patient, compassionate, and dependable with a genuine love for working with infants Strong communication and teamwork skills High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Child Development or ECE a plus
